Our Projects
White Elephant Nantucket
To ensure that the White Elephant's historic building maintained its charm while integrating contemporary artwork, the hotel collaborated with art consultant and curator Emily Santangelo. Emily initiated the Artist in Residency Program in August 2022. Six artists stayed at the hotel for two weeks, drawing inspiration from the surroundings to create original works. Nearly 300 new pieces, ranging from New England-focused watercolors to dreamy beach portraits, now adorn the property's corridors, rooms, and garden cottages. Each room boasts a unique selection of artwork, offering guests a distinctive artistic experience. Among the standout pieces is a 16-foot-long painting by Israeli artist Orit Fuchs, depicting a woman in Nantucket reds in a rowboat against a backdrop of harbor cottages. This cheerful artwork greets guests in the lobby, setting the tone for a delightful stay filled with anticipation and lightness.
White Elephant Palm Beach
A luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of Palm Beach. This recent project, reimagined and renovated by Elkus Manfredi Architects as part of a New England Development project, boasts 32 suites, rooms, and a lobby containing a carefully curated collection of over 132 works of art by artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Richard Serra, Christopher LeBrun, and Jennifer Bartlet. Experience the art and luxury at White Elephant Palm Beach.
201 Brookline
Commissioned by Emily Fine, the spectacular indoor/outdoor mural carved into the exterior and lobby wall is the centerpiece of the building and speaks to the science that is taking place inside. Memorializing breakthroughs in research and in medical practice led by women, the mural celebrates three inspirational pioneers from the Boston area: Rosalind Franklin for her crucial contribution to the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA; Mary Eliza Mahoney, the first African-American nurse; and Clara Barton, founder of the Red Cross.
Foley Hoag
The goal for the artwork was to integrate the views from the expansive windows covering one side of the reception lobby high above the Seaport with their views of blue sky. The art installation by Tacita Dean, comprising 11 individual works and entitled "Magic Hour," brings the blue sky in the windows to the other side of the lobby, creating the sense of daylight and sky all around. The marble sculpture by Richard Erdman evokes the feeling of flight and the seagulls floating outside the conference center’s windows above the harbor waters.

AEW Global
Working closely with AEW leadership to select the artwork for the new office, with careful consideration not only of its role in the office design, but also how it reflects the values and ethos of AEW. The curated selection of original artwork is located throughout the new office, not as decoration but as mission, a layer to inspire employees with the core values of AEW as a company. As part of the art collection, AEW acquired the HELP Portfolio, which represents 16 artists, each of whom donated a new limited-edition print. All profits from the purchase of the prints went to 16 charities that were underfunded due to the pandemic, each one selected by the artists involved. This had a powerful impact on employees and visitors when the work was installed in 2021. A series of works by artist Charles Gaines titled "Tiergarten Series" was selected for the executive boardroom. Gaines was the first African-American student in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts program, receiving his degree in 1967 and going on to teach at California State University the following year. Additional color-coded original artwork helps with wayfinding throughout the reinvented space.

401 Park Drive - Fenway Park, Boston
A Samuels & Associates project. Built in 1929 for Sears, Roebuck and Company, reimagined in 2019 by Elkus Manfredi Architects. 401 Park has become the heart of Boston's most vibrant and dynamic neighborhoods. Where history meets modern day spirit. Where visionaries work, foodies dine and the city comes together.
Emily Fine Art commissioned Boston artist Timmy Sneaks to create a mural on a wall located on the parking-garage level of the main stair to give arriving visitors to 401 Park their first experience of the environment they’re entering. Aligning with the goals for the artwork, the mural acts as an extension of the vision for the entire building: a contemporary interpretation that honors the roots of the building while placing it firmly in the present. The artist worked with old found black and white photographs of the Sears building and parking lot filled with cars from the late 1940s, blowing the photos up, wheat-pasting them onto the wall, and painting historic cartoon characters from the Looney Tunes Series that date back to the early 1930s, when the Sears building was built. Santangelo’s team traveled to the Texas Motor Speedway, the largest car parts swap meet in the country to source grilles, doors, and hoods of old Packards, Buicks, Chevys, and Fords, along with vintage gas pumps to stand alongside the garage mural. Sneaks incorporated the car parts into the mural, giving it sculptural dimension and detail.
