Emily Santangelo

I am in Shanghai where I will be visiting artists’ studios, including one of our very own, Willy Chyr. Willy is currently two months in as an artist-in-residence at the Swatch Art Peace Hotel. Inspiration is everywhere, from the 11 other artists-in-residence hailing from around the world working in a variety of disciplines, to the energetic art scene of Shanghai. The residency has allowed the time and resources for Willy to explore and experiment with new ideas for work, ranging from portrait photography to a video game centered on a physics thought experiment.
